I have been a part of StarShine for six years now working as first a High School teacher and now a fulltime K-12 Art Teacher. I am a local artist originally from the east coast where I studied Illustration at The School of Visual Arts. Some of the things that I am most proud of having helped develop are the K-12 Art classes as well as the Annual Starshine Academy Student Art Show. I believe education shouldn't only be based on academics but most of all life experiences. We have created a very special classroom environment for our students, they know that we care very much for them not only as teachers but also as friends. I have had the pleasure of creating many long lasting relationships with both staff and students.

 

StarShine's future? I hope that it will develop into a more arts based program expanding its schools all over the globe. Maybe even an exchange program with other countries. As for myself I hope to always be a part of StarShine in some way.
